Rowan Colquhoun (b.1995) is a contemporary non-binary artist and maker living in North Somerset. Their artistic practice explores navigating interpersonal relationships and interpreting symbolism with the intention to expose their own vulnerabilities and desires. Rowan utilises anthropomorphic figures and primary colours within their work, creating a sense of playfulness while addressing intense emotions and experiences.

Drawing inspiration from the romanticism movement and ornamental style of Ancient Roman Frescos, Rowan translates existing imagery into their own visual language through a range of multidisciplinary practices allowing their output to be dynamic and ever evolving.
